Imagine how convenient it will be to let your phone locate a merchant with discounts in your immediate area. Not only is it more convenient than a book or printing discounts over the Internet but it also saves paper, which protects our environment. Any web-enabled wireless device (i.e. cell phone, PDA, etc.) can be used to search and redeem discounts.

Don't have a web-enabled cell phone/PDA?

Even if your cell phone/PDA is not web-enabled, check with your wireless service provider (i.e. AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, etc.) for options on getting a new web-enabled phone at NO COST! Be sure to check into the new FCC regulations that may allow you to keep your wireless phone number when switching companies or convert your home phone number into a wireless number.Many service providers can offer a free cell phone when signing up for a 1-year service contract. If you're not sure whether your phone/PDA is web-enabled, simply contact your wireless service provider for assistance. If you are already locked into a service contract but your phone is not web-enabled, check with your wireless service provider for "no cost" upgrade options.

How do I determine if my phone/PDA is capable of accessing the internet and which types of websites I can access?

Contact your wireless service provider such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc. They should be able to assist you.

Be aware that some wireless devices can only access WAP sites while others can only access HTML sites or both. HTML sites are similar to those you access when browsing sites with your computer using Internet Explorer or Netscape. Also, there is sometimes a special service that you must subscribe to for accessing WAP or HTML sites.
